The motor seems to be struggling to turn, what do I do?

Insure the wire that runs between the two lock pieces does not interfere with the rotation of the tailpiece. Insure nothing interferes with the free motion of the bolt. Additionally this can occur if the tailpiece is cut too long for your door. Doors are often cut slightly differently at the factory which can cause the default size tailpiece to be too long or too short. Ensure your tailpiece fits snugly but does not fit so tightly that it freezes the locking mechanism.
