We have 12 ReliTouch locks and just thought we'd let you know they made it through some serious weather this year. Our access control system was not so well built and bit the dust. Whoever designed these locks should be proud that they beat the weather so well. FYI these locks are better than our Sagem locks that cost 4x as much.

I bought the Relitouch lock online for a couple of our office doors. This lock is definitely better quality than our old pin code lock and has the added benefit of key-less and code-less entry. The manufacturer was great with us on the phone with our questions and we had it going in short order. I hope other manufacturers take a page out of these guys book as a human being answered their phone. We'll be buying another one of these for our front door.

This lock works great. Was easy to install and gave us exactly the features we wanted 1) a pin code lock that holds a lot of users that we can control with our PC 2) higher security fingerprint users and 3) a good audit trail. It all just works and works well. Adding new users and creating access times is a snap. Purchased it from Home Depot and quite satisfied.

We bought the Relitouch lock for a common maintenance area for our hotel resort complex. No lock has lasted more than two months and so far we've tried at least 8 different brand and model locks for this door. It's been 8 months and the relitouch is still going strong. I'm very surprised. That maintenance door was a huge problem for a lot of years and now that this lock is there it's become a non-issue.

We're all really impressed how well this works. So far have about 340 people enrolled and it works great, some people use the pin code portion and some like the fingerprint. I think a lot of people will benefit from this technology. While we haven't tried it yet the instructions show we can add more locks and program them all using the software and just one USB drive which will be wonderful. We'll post our experience when we do that.

I have had one of these locks for about 6-7 years ... Regardless of climate/temperature, the lock worked perfectly. The key back-up is handy should the batteries croak and the overall build is solid as a rock.

I would recommend this lock for any who need a bit more security for the worry of lost keys or unsanctioned copies ... Sales and tech support were the best.

Five stars, and for good reasons.

This is great. We were very skeptical about the usefulness of the biometric aspect of this lock (and bought it as a PIN code lock). We assigned our employees both PIN codes and the fingerprint. I can report that 90% of them prefer the ease of the fingerprint access. Just so easy to get in every day. In fact the entrance we put this on is now used much MORE than it was before. Coupled with the fact the relitouch also works as a pin code lock it has turned out to be the perfect solution for our company. We will be outfitting a number of our offices with this.

I've been buying locks from Actuator for a long time and can tell you that the new NextBolt is a large improvement. The EZ-Mount version can really be installed in just a few minutes with a screw driver and the new fast enroll feature is very useful for us. We load up on average about 25 users in each lock and with this version maintenance of the authorized users is dramatically improved. This is definately the most advanced biometric lock out there today. I've seen their progress and it just keeps getting better and better.

I researched a lot of different biometric locks and settled on this lock from Actuator Systems. I was lucky in my choice as this lock just 'works'. Very simple I just touch and it recognizes me in less than a second and opens the door. I've become very comfortable using this every day and wouldn't have it any other way. All in all I'm really happy I chose this lock. Oh and by the way the guys at Actuator are really helpful.

BD1 XL Biometric Deadbolt

I bought this lock and to my amazement I was able to install it myself. This biometric lock is extremely well built. I'm in the car business and I know how to spot 'fit and finish' and this lock is top notch in that category. Enrolling fingerprints was easy and me and my wife were both able to get the hang of adding our fingerprints in just a few minutes.

 Once you learn how convienent it is to not carry a housekey it would be hard for either of us to go back to using one. Works very reliably.

SafeKing XPro-20H

This is a very user friendly safe. Simply push a 6 digit code to lock, then use the same 6 digits to unlock. I did not have to even read the instruction that came with it. It is solid & now I don't worry about someone taking an important or expensive item from my home when I'm away. Came with mounting hardware which I used to bolt to my floor. It's not moving without some significant tools! It even came with an electronic key in case you forget your code and it has a 9v external battery input in case the batteries go dead.

Sound Sentry XL

I bought a Sound Sentry XL as a recommendation from a friend. He was right, as this little gadget is as fun as it is useful. I left a message for my wife the other day that I was out in the back yard mowing the grass. It got her attention as soon as she walked in the door. I plan to use it at Halloween to greet the trickters with a scary witch sound when they approach the front door. The product is small, portable and very easy to record your own message or sound. I think it would make a great stocking stuffer too!

Works great for alerting me when someone (children) are coming or leaving my back door area as I'm usually in that part of the house during the day. Easy to set up and we like being able to change what we want it to say and can then use it for different purposes. Lower priced than items with similar features.

BioAxxis BD1 XL

I bought the BD1 after I read an article about the comparison of biometric locks by Good Housekeeping where the BD1 won hands down. Here's the link if anyone is interested: www.komonews.com/news/consumer/19269544.html It's a good read and the BD1 worked even better than I expected. The version that won the Good Housekeeping deal is actually a less sophisticated version of the lock than i received! Make sure and buy the 'XL' version. Very happy with this and Actuator did a nice job answering all my questions.

XWall-25 Wall Mount Safe

I bought the SafeKing wall safe in late June 2010. We had never mounted a safe before, especially having to chop into the drywall of our closet etc.. We were very pleased with the telephone support provided by Actuator Systems! They are very friendly and their help was most useful. (They even provided phone support on a Saturday which almost no-one does). The safe is very sturdy and high quality. One note is the carpet is optional and comes in a roll that you have to manually place at the bottom of the safe which was no big deal but worth mentioning. Overall we are ecstatic about how the safe turned out and would buy from Actuator again.

Sound Sentry XL

I bought the Sound Sentry to secure my garage as we had some kids breaking in there occasionally. It works superbly for this in fact surprisingly well. I just record my 'alarm' sound and stick it on the wall. When the kids showed up it did a great job of running them off. Other alarms were going to require me to screw them into the wall and this doesn't, also this is a lot cheaper at just $20. Kids have a blast with it as well recording all kinds of different sounds and playing them. The sound is very high quality. Anyway just my .02 cents.

Prince Electronic Safe

I bought this safe in May 2010 and must say I am very happy with it. It's really easy to use and doesn't weigh nearly as much as the safes i was looking at when i visited the store. These are well built and I've recommended them to my friends.  It's great you don't need a key or have to remember a combination to open it.

Sound Sentry XL

We just thought we'd drop you a note that we love the Sound Sentry! I got transferred and had to move the family - the sentry was great for putting inside the moving trailer to insure nobody got in there while we were at the hotel. It's also great for leaving voice notes for the family - just stick it to the fridge!!

I figured I may as well come out of woodwork after owning one of these for over 3 years. Mine has worked great with zero problems. I live in the Pacific Northwest and we get PLENTY of rain and I have yet to see any corrosion issues! I'm not sure what the bad reviewer is talking about when he says they aren't weather proof, maybe he is cooking meth in his kitchen or something. The only thing I had to do was change the batteries after 2 years. This lock is very convenient, especially when going for a jog.

Wow! This lock is even more practical than i thought. It works every time and looks solid as a rock. It gets *a lot* of use every single day and  i've recommended it to all my friends. BioAXxis BD1-XL Polished Brass

My wife and I would go for walks/jogs and need to bring the keys. Also, once in the car with it started and the house entry door key on the chain, sometimes one of us would want to go back into the house.

There are non-techie solutions these problems (house key on detachable chain for example) and at any rate they are minor inconveniences to be sure. However, I like technical solutions. What's the point of living in this century if silcon chips and creative engineers aren't making daily tasks automatic? Hence, a keypad, voice, fingerprint deadbolt, rf remote was my preferred techie solution.

This is working out fine which is amazing when high-tech actually works out as a functional appliance. First, it fits the standard sizes for a deadbolt and with some tweeking (everything has to line up smoothly for it to open but that's probably true of all deadbolts) it's now thankfully something I don't think about anymore.

I like that it's not obviously a fp deadbolt. When the fingerprint lid is close, it looks like an oversized deadbolt. Some other products are more obvious. I wish it had a sensor like my ThinkPad (instead of the glass) since picking up fingerprints from the glass is theoretically possible. That siad, to use that to get in is not something I think is worth the efforts of a burglar as there are easier ways to enter house IMO.

It works 100% of the time for me. For my wife, at first it didn't always work as she would position her finger significantly differently or time it after the red display light turned off. At this point I believe she's also having near 100% success.

Once inside, if the fingerprint lid is kept up, it beeps to remind you to lower it. That's a very nice feature as it's easy to forget when bring in bags of groceries for example.

To lock the deadbolt, just close the door and open the fingerprint lid and close it again.
To lock from the inside, there's a push button to electronically close/open the deadbolt (and a manual lever as well).
So in short, the product is working in the real world in the cold northeast and carrying keys is no longer necessary on our daily walks.

We looked at few other manufacturers bio locks and the finish on these are what sold us. We have the oiled bronze and they look very good, a nice classic look. You wont be dissapointed.

BioAxxis BD1 XL

I installed a BD-1 in the front door of my new house in July of this year. I had never, ever installed a door lock before, but managed to get this installed in an afternoon when it was nearly 100 degrees. Yes, you do have to make some alterations, but the included template makes things fairly simple if you have the proper tools and a little patience. I have to say I do not at all miss carrying keys with me all the time. In fact, I never carry them anymore. The lock always works and it was great when we had out of town guests a couple months ago. We just programmed their fingers in and let them come and go when they wanted. After they left to go home we deleted their prints from the door in a couple seconds. The guests thought the lock was pretty cool too! We got ours in Satin Nickel and the finish is beautiful...the pictures don't do it justice. Goes well with the Schlage door knob I bought to go with it too. This is a great product...very well built and very secure.

This was our second biometric deadbolt lock we bought the BD1 to replace a biometric door lock from some chinese company. What a difference this makes! This lock is 1000x better than our old one. Not as fancy but it works every time for our whole family exactly as advertised. Highly recommended.

BioAxxis BD1-XL Satin Nickel

Pros:
These locks are very well built.
Every door hardware variation comes with these locks.
Fast user authorization (about 1.5 secs from opening the cover to being able to push door open)
Does not cause any negative attention. Most people would not know that this is anything special at first glance, unless you forget and leave the scanner hatch open.

Cons:
Requires drilling (2) - 3/8" holes in your door for the additional mounting screws. (Not hard, just requires knowledge and tools of how to do it), they give you a very nice plastic template which makes the preperation very easy.

I always lose my keys and also live in a house with a bunch of friends, so having a lock on the front door that uses finger prints is ideal. Overall, this is really easy to fit to the door and works perfectly. The batteries last a long time and its easy to use. The only thing I don’t like about it is that you have to lock the door when you close it behind you - this is an easy process, just lift and close the front flap, but it would be better if it knew you shut the door and then locked it self - like a yale type lock.

Not enough of a reason not to buy this though, work well, looks cool, very solidly built so it is secure. It also raises a few questions from mates when they see it for the 1st time!
